Bottler ‘Smithereens’ out 24th March

Tuesday, February 18th, 2014

We’re pleased to announce that the debut EP ‘Smithereens’ from London based melodic punk band Bottler will be out on 24th March through Disconnect Disconnect Records. In their own words:

Bottler are a 4-piece DIY melodic punk rock band who meet to plot, scheme, and practice in a secret location between Guildford and London.

Our sound is unashamedly influenced by the surf and skate videos which entertained us in the 90s, and the sweaty all-ages gigs that made our teenage selves feel truly alive. This was a different time, a time when a ‘status update’ was standing at the urinals while your mate told you that your other mate got kicked out for sneaking in a hip flask.

Like our forefathers we tend to sing about alcoholism, crime, and poverty, with an unmistakably British lyrical style and sense of humour in the tradition of the great punk poets of the past (so we like to think).

We invite all our fellow punkers to come join us in 2014 as we bleed, sweat, cry, and occasionally puke our way around this great land (and maybe beyond, if any of you lovely comrades abroad fancy offering us a gig, and possibly a nice warm floor to crash on!).

Look out for the EP in March, and in the meantime, check out the EP’s title track streaming now below:
