Luther Call It Quits

Friday, November 13th, 2015

It’s with sadness that we let you know that Philly’s Luther have decided to call it quits. We worked on the cool ‘Siblings and Sevens’ release with these guys a few years back and then went on from strength to strength with a couple of killer releases on Black Numbers and Chunksaah Records, and even made it to the UK for a tour with Bouncing Souls!

Here’s what the band have to say:

Hey Friends,
We here have some good and bad news. I’ll give you the good first!
We’re playing a show! (it’s been a bit, hu?) Our good good friends at Chunksaah Records and the Bouncing Souls are putting on their annual Home For The Holidays events and we’ve been fortunate enough to get our own after party. Monday, December 28th at the Asbury Park Yacht Club after the Stone Pony show (with The Bouncing Souls, The Loved Ones, Static Radio NJ, and ROGER HARVEY). Our friend Sara M. will be DJing the show as well. All the info for the show is located at http://chunksaah.com/H4TH2015/

Now for the bad news. We’ve decided that this will be the last Luther show. I know, I know, you’re upset and torn apart by this sad news and it seems like the world is ending and the walls are caving in but everything will be alright, I swear! Nick is playing in a great band called All Dogs – www.facebook.com/alldogsoh/

and Phil is playing in a wonderful band called the spirit of the beehive. – www.facebook.com/thespiritofthebeehive/

We cannot thank enough the people that have bought our records and came out to all the shows over the past 5 years. Especially everyone that have helped us get so far, Black Numbers and Chunksaah Records (Kate truly is Great).

Hopefully we’ll see you at the Asbury Park Yacht Club!
-Andy, Nick, and Phil
